“When Ian Lake took these pieces on tour with him some years back, he asked for separate titles for each piece and I provided the following:
- Musing
- Parade
- Chorale I
- Daydream
- Spree
- Lament
- Chorale II.
The music came to me first (as did Debussy’s ‘Preludes’) and the titles were suggested by the music rather than the other way round.”
